About Us

 Tara started Animal Crackers after noticing ​a lack of pet care providers that weren't a kennel type environment.  Animal Crackers is licensed by the PA State Dept of Agriculture, following PA Law for all dog boarders and fully insured.  Tara has been working in the animal care world since the age of 14 - including veterinary hospitals, doggie daycares, kennels and livestock farm veterinary visits.  Both Tara & her husband, Chad, are actively involved in rescue by fostering, doing home visits and transporting pets in need.  They share their home with 2 human children and 1 dog - Lily, the rescue Saint Bernard mix. They are passionate about providing your pet with the very best care while you are away, and know first hand how important it is for your pets to in an environment with the less stress as possible!

Animal Crackers strives to provide homestyle care.  They do not have kennel runs or enclosed areas to keep your pup - dog guests are a welcome member to the family, and live right along side of them.  They also have a large fenced in yard for your pup to play at ease, along with an inground pool. Their home is inspected twice yearly by the Northampton County Dog Warden as well. You can rest assured knowing they provide a safe environment!

Tara is also a Fear Free Certified Professional. This special certification helps to prevent and alleviate fear, anxiety & stress in pets.
